What 'reformed institutions' did the French establish to lead Madagascar to independence in 1960?
On Wikipedia, it states that the French established reformed institutions that moved Madagascar peacefully toward independence and doesn't explain it... What did the French exactly do that helped Madagascar achieve independence?
